    Fifteen used to be the age where you were expected to go off and work your own plot of land and marry some girl and start your own life. What do you supposed happened that we still have some growin’ up to do these days? I’m not disagreeing with you at all, mind. I’m just fascinated by the different possible answers.

    15-year-olds were treated as, and expected to act like, adults back then. The pressure to be an adult was enormous, mainly because it was necessary. Today? So many are trying to be young that they act immature way past an acceptable age.
