    I’d say that Jack’s version was from a personal point of view and yours is from a political perspective. Each is true in its own way, as would be a dozen other perspectives… and don’t forget that both the personal and political required a fairly complex set of rationalizations…

    Time and time again throughout history the people with the superior technology tended to think that they themselves were superior and that they had the right to subjugate everyone else.

    Of course, it didn’t eliminate the NAs. It did seriously reduce their numbers, though, through forced assimilation and forced annihilation. They’re still around, though. Just walk into any casino in Connecticut, for example.
