If my reading was correct, this effort is from a company in Denmark, and not the USA. The private efforts in the USA are being sponsored by NASA and are aimed at competitively getting people up to low Earth orbit and the ISS in the next couple of years. Something that is reasonably doable. Not all of us in the US are crazy!!
