Why are they supposed to feel the same?

I’d say, marriage is the confirmation of your feeling of each other, so you should feel the same afterwards as before… But then again i am a man….

Now, Kathy KNOWS that Roy’s oblivious to “the REAL World” so why would this be a surprise?

I’m thinking Rita’s management skills need to be refreshed.

    Just ignore her, you two.

Years ago, Bill Cosby came to my town and was doing a routine where he talked to husbands and wives in the crowd. He asked one couple how long they’d been married. The husband said “10 years” the wife said “15 years.” Cosby sat down to “advise” them.

It’s something she can tell them on their 20th wedding anniversary party, and start another fight.

Too bad we can’t read each other’s minds when in love. It would make things so much simpler (and better for those of us who tell the truth).

I think they are each answering the same (but regarding different aspects of the question) Roy feels that he has always loved Kathy (so no change) while she feels the strength of commitment (so different).

I had a cousin who married a drunken layabout, expecting that love would change him into a responsible adult. When they were divorced he was a drunken layabout. It’s undying human optimism and naiveté.
