knowledge can be dangerous. some places, they burn books from their local library(the books don’t fit their worldview). to gain knowledge online, one must sacrifice privacy(nsa must know everything, and uk pm must ban anything racy).
Someone asked me recently if I had seen a particular new movie. I told him I was still catching up on all the old ones. The same applies to books. But, don’t suggest an e-reader. Most of what I read is long out of print in any form. It takes a good library or used bookstore to find them.
I used to work at a public library and one day I took a phone call from a woman who asked if we had any books. I waited for her to finish her question by mentioning a subject. Nope, that really was the question: Did we have any books? I assured her that we had hundreds of thousands of books. She seemed relieved and hung up.

Oddly, I just read a book on my iPad that was written in the year (approximately) 380 CE. I read a newer book in paper format the day before.
