Another rightwing lie. Keep’em coming, boys — “stupid,” “gullible” and “paranoid” are important electoral blocs

What Obama said was that the use of coal for generating energy was bad for the environment. However, he didn’t say he intended to have us quit mining the stuff — quite the oppositve.

""This notion of no coal, I think, is an illusion, because the fact of the matter is that right now, we are getting a lot of our energy from coal, and China is building a coal-fired plant once a week. So what we have to do then is we have to figure out how can we use coal without emitting greenhouse gases and carbon. And how can we sequester that carbon and capture it? If we can’t, then we’re going to still be working on alternatives."

However, the industry itself is damaging miners with unsafe working conditions — so I guess the question is whether you’d rather be laid off or dead, and that’s like asking whether you’d rather be unemployed and forced to collect food stamps or working at WalMart and forced to collect food stamps.

The 1 percent likes the slave labor, and Payne likes to kiss the butts of the 1 percent, so there ya go, pal.

We live in “coal country” and the EPA is killing thousands of jobs with no congressional oversight. Just closed 2 major power plants here in PA. Most states get over 50% of their energy from coal. Some much more.No current technology is capable of filling our needs except nuclear, which the Greenies don’t want either. The only time you will be able to reason with them is when they go to turn their A/C on and there is no electricity. When something personally affects them, it’s different. By then, they will have bankrupted the power and coal industry..

Oh my. Congress is going on a 5 week vacation and all we will hear is how good that is.But Obama is going to play golf and the right wingers will be howling about that for a year.

I guess Payne deserves a Mulligan, because this one doesn’t even get off the tee. Maybe he needs to look at Murray Energy’s record, instead of taking aim at the wrong ball, as usual.

Rhetoric is a “cover” for the real intention of Obama and the EPA to bankrupt the coal and oil/gas industry, step by step,by regulation and bans by executive orders. Undemocratic and Unconstitutional, IMO.-The cartoon captures Obama’s hypocrisy.
