Got picked up around 3:30. Got home about 5:30. Between those time, my friend Paris and her two daughters, a two year old and a five year old. First went to Whattaburger and stocked up on fast food. Then to the Children’s Memorial Park for filling four empty stomachs, of various capacity. Lastly, I got to sit there and watch the three young ladies play. I enjoyed it very much. Kind of therapeutic.

Good morning, vagabonds. Nothing much happened yesterday except a friend brought me 6 jars of Kirkland peanut butter (my favorite brand) from Costco. I hope it’ll last me a looong time.

Today I plan to go to my shul and have a snack in their rooftop sukah (temporary booth).

For the 2nd time in a week, when I looked at “Pickles,” the same beautiful melody played. The melody was unhummable, so I couldn’t hum it to ask someone what it was. However, this time my camcorder was handy and I taped it. I will copy it to DVD so I’ll be able to hear it when I want to. Has anyone else heard that tune?

Good morning Vagabonds:Took my wife to the eye doctor yesterday where she had a field vision test and eye exam. Because my wife is a diabetic and has glaucoma, the doctor gives her a really good exam. Her eye pressure was good as was the field vision test. No change from last time. PTL

Morning, Vagabonds. Rained all day yesterday. It fact, it was more rain than we’ve had all year. Looking forward to more of it today. Thank you, Lord!

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

I don’t remember who asked, but I finally got a chance to go look and yes, we can see the new giant Ferris wheel from the park across the street. It is behind one of the high-rise hotels, but we can see about the top third of it.

Good morning Vagabonds,It is 1:45 a.m. EDST. I don’t know when this will update, if at all. Going to have some rain in the morning and then clearing. We could use some rain, not like what they had in Colorado. Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning, vagabonds. I hope the rain that’s predicted in the NY area won’t prevent me from meeting my cousin in Bryant park and playing a game of Scrabble with him and later going to the book fair in Brooklyn. Next Sunday is the Miedieval festival at the Cloisters in Ft. Tryon Park.

We’re enjoying the visit from our German friends. Today we’ll head for San Marcos. They want to go to the huge outlet mall there. I wanted to take them to some of the National Parks out west, but having the baby with us kind of limits how far we can drive in one day. We’ll be taking short trips instead. We’ll visit San Antonio while we’re in the area, then after we get back, we’ll probably go see New Orleans.

Good morning Vagabonds..Gray rainy day, by tomorrow we’re back to sunny, that’s what the weatherman says..Didn’t make it in yesterday, so here is the answer to my question Friday, the father of that Virgina family named Walton was played by Ralph Waite who now plays Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ father in NCIS..Later I head to church, will I have to use an umbrella? I’ll wait and see..ttfn

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

We went to the Mob Museum downtown yesterday. Fascinating stuff. It is inside of the old Federal Courthouse/Post Office building near the Fremont Street “Experience”. Three floors of exhibits, starting at the top and working your way down. Top floor: Early history of the mob and individuals we have all heard of (they even have the actual brick wall against which 7 men were shot in the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre). Second floor: a third dedicated to the Kefauver hearings (with a video presentation in the courtroom where the hearings actually took place in Vegas), a third “the mob in Las Vegas – including a lot of celebrities” and a third a pretty gruesome depiction of how they “took care” of each other. and Ground floor: Mostly law enforcement and how it has put a crimp in the mob’s activity, plus an exhibit of the mob in the movies, and a room showcasing the wives, children, etc. of famous mobsters. And a great gift shop. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and as locals we got in for only $10. (It cost more to get out, but who can resist a gift shop?)
