Obama is starting to Sweat about his legacy. So now he will pay attention to the middle class.
All along he has shown himself to be a friend of Democrat strongholds: The poor, the needy, the incapable.
Now, suddenly, he cares about the average middle class worker who is employed and struggling because the taxes to support Obamas supporters are so burdensome that he can’t carry them any more.
If Obama really cared about the middle class he would propose another round or 2 of sequesters and shed some layers of government. Maybe even look to the states to make decisions for themselves.
But he and his cronies are so Bent on controlling everyone else’s lives that I wouldn’t advise holding your breath.
He looks at 1200 days as a very short time to do something good. I look at it as a very long time until we are free of his idiocy.
You obviously don’t listen to Obama’s speeches — he has ideas that were proven to work by presidents of both parties over the past century. But the GOP has let it be known that ANYTHING that might help the country is dead on arrival. There is simply no room there to govern.
hink, that 20% cut (for some) came about because the Conservatives refused to help create a budget, mainly by increasing income while the Liberals did agree to some budget cuts.
What’s really hilarious is the fact that Fox’s parent company gave more money to the democrats the last couple of elections. I call them "farce’ news because of their desire to be perceived as the opposition. They certainly have succeeded with the voting public. Can you say “Laughing all the way to the bank”?
@ Mikefive – I noticed that too. Around here, the fed employees are furloughed 1 day a week for 11 weeks. Yes, that is 20% per week, but it’s 11 days out of 260 days a year which is about 4% or 22 days is about 8.5%. Our media has become the “National Enquirer” mainstream.
5 days x 52 weeks = 260 days11/260 = 4.23076923%22/260 = 8.46153846%

1 speech compared to 41/2 years of less people working, hours being cut and 45 Million forced to survive on food stamps. Hmm.

^ReFlex-76, Lisa and ConserveGov only wait for Rush to tell them what Obama said, well, Rush’s interpretation of it anyway.

I want a president that will help middle class get to be upper class rather than moving them to poverty. (O MITT, where are you when we need you?)

“What kind of president signs an Order forcing a 20% pay cut on those with jobs – instead of voluntarily cutting back a little on free give-aways?”
Wrong question. The question should be ‘what kind of Congress would cut wages on anyone but themselves?’
Of course, that’s a much harder question.

“As he states “If the GOP has any ideas let’s hear them” as he has none.”
I think you mean ’let’s hear them, since you’ve shot down everything constructive that has been proposed by anyone.’
