Poor Farley! All of his playmates are gone. Go find Rover, Fred and the dogs from the other comics, Farley! ;-)

In Canada it’s dollars not pounds. But you need a lot more of them to buy anything especially with the high taxes on everything. You should’ve seen the shock on our faces the first time we went to the grocery store after moving here from the states.

Macushlalondra: Don’t believe what you read in the corporate media. There have been occasions when we got more US dollars for our Canadian pension than the paper claimed was the exchange rate – and that was after BoA had raked off their exchange charges. Yes, the cost of living is about 20% higher in Canada, but those taxes let you get 50% more for the cost. Just knowing you will never be bankrupted by medical expenses is worth the difference.

Gee, what’s with the illustration by the Making Ends Meet ad over there → ? It looks as though Ellie and John are playing “exchange the noodle,” and Mike is trying to exchange expressions with Farley. Oh, I get it – Mike is looking disgusted at all the mush! Not bad, except for the noodle.

Hippogriff: Another American agrees! Wish our legislative system were’t so broke (any way you want to interpret it).

Here in the US, most food is subsidized, hence all the fat people. Food is much cheaper here than elsewhere, what surprises me is that there are people that go hungry. If they know where to look, I suspect that they would not go hungry – maybe they wouldn’t get what they wanted, but they would be fed.

from the dogs perspective an empty house with no one to play is a lonely house.

It’s a personal decision whether to wear a tortuous bra. Remember when the feminists were burning them to protest this uncomfortable device invented by a man. A woman has the same right to be comfortable as a man, especially in the privacy of her home. Who cares if they sag!

@macushlalonda: Yes, taxes here in Canada are high, but I am happy to pay them if I means I can get health care and a decent education system.
