“….snip…. It was the destruction of the family unit by mommy government by subsidizing bastard children….snip”
how sad that you were teaching those bastard children as one of only 6 whites in a black school. The only bastards are the bigoted adults that single out children AS bastards. You can’t hide attitude like that from a child.the church said it would not baptize or recognize children born from in-vtiro fertilization. Are they bastard children too? I haven’t heard of any being turned down for baptism by the church.
I’ve had black, brown, and white work associates and friends for many decades. In high school, the “Mexican” contingent numbered among my friends in a school that was newly built, and about 50-50 mixed. Yep, there was conflict on occasion, but it’s actually WORSE today in that same area.
As to “DWB” (black or brown), I had a similar “experience” when driving in the south for several years with California license plates, and an U.S. Army bumper sticker. I was getting pulled over constantly on “creatively interpreted” violations. But the strangest might have been in Wickenburg Arizona on my way to ’Nam when I had a black sailor in the car with me, he was hitchhiking in uniform, mine was hanging on a hook in the car. Took two hours to get free of the “county mountie” when his supervisor came along and told him to leave us alone.
Bigotry remains alive an well in the U.S. either admit it, or “get over it”. The bigots won’t do either.
I have posted before that during the Clinton years, people had jobs. Welfare was eliminated, at least at the Federal level. The stock market soared. Crime was down. To me, it felt like racial animosity was starting to decline (your mileage may vary).-And forget for the moment who gets credit/blame. Those years seem pretty prosperous and relatively peaceful.-So, it seems to me that the most effective path forward is to create more jobs, so that everyone who wants to work can do so. -IF this ever came to pass, welfare at the state level could be at least lessened and crime and racial animosity would decline.-Where jobs come from is a somewhat different issue, maybe for a different thread. -Whaddya think, Harl?
“It’s harder for a black man to live in Africa than a black man living in America.”
That, too, got my attention. Please explain what you mean? I interpret it as:
“You whiny black folks have never had it so good here in good ol’ US of A. If your ancestors hadn’t been picked up and transported across the ocean, you’d be mired in poverty back in Africa. Be glad that your great-grandpappy and great-grandmammy were chosen. It meant a world of privilege for you, you ungrateful n…”

Where is the original seller?
The first man to own a black slave in the US was Anthony Johnson around 1622.
Oh yeah, Anthony was a black man. Go figure?

In all seriousness….how many whites today were slave owners and how many blacks were slaves?

Harley, you didn’t respond to my post. That would hurt my feelings, if I had any.
