dandelion sap is bitter – learned that as a kid!
They’re better before they flower.
They eat grass when their stomach is upset.
Moxie has favorite grass or weeds. She’ll go looking for just that kind.
My last trip to the grocery, I saw large crisp bunches of dandelion greens – did not purchase any. Somewhere in near the romaine, carrots beets and parsnips which I DID buy!
In the PA Dutch country they have hot dandelion dressing.
In some area in NYC they are now using goats to eat the grass and poison ivy, which apparently does not affect them.
