    Sad but true story:

A local guy was going to open a new Resturant called “The Library” so he went around to all the 2nd Hand Book Shops and bought up whatever was cheap to use for “Decor.”

Unknown to anyone, until opening day, he cut them off two inches back from the spines and glued them onto super-skinny Shelves so it would LOOK like a Old-Fashioned Library, even though all the books had been destroyed and were unreadable in any way, shape, or form!

Karma stepped in, though, the palce crashed and burned in short order.

    Sad and Tragic.

Encyclopaedias are great – I miss the Britannica set we had when I was a teen – besides using them a lot like I do the web today, to look up anything and everything I didn’t know, I would just leaf through sometimes and come across all kinds of neat stuff. You can do that online, but SEO means you tend to be directed along similar paths to what you’ve done and seen and written online before.

Lila and Boyd look like they’re about to do a “cheers!” toast in the last panel for some reason. Or maybe that’s just what I would do after hearing Boyd’s zinger.
