Ernesto: I am an assistant Junior crossing Guard, and while Im not yet able to "cross" people, I have been tasked with urging dawdlers to move along. Ernesto: So move along Petey Otterloop! Petey: Hey! Quit it! Petey: I still think you're probably imaginary. Ernesto: Ha! I am beyond the realm of your puny imagination.

I was a (full-fledged) Crossing Guard one year; I think it was 6th grade. But in those far-off days, the only equipment was a white Sam Browne belt, and there were no “assistant junior crossing guards” or the like. Ernesto may be imaginary (or not), but he can be really irritating….
