I was just going through my email comics. Three today made the same common grammatical error. “Me and…(fill in the blank)” That one is so widespread and commonplace, I guess there’s no holding it back.
Ref yesterday. my B.S. is in Physics and Math but 1975 so too old now. First Masters is in Education. Have taught at public senior high twice (3 years and 4 years ) and private high school for a year. Will not return. Other masters is an M. Div (BL) and will not return for mush the same reasons, too much squabbling and politics. Son has a degree from well know school in 2010 and he is working P/T at grocery store and living at home. His best friend earned a degree in communications in 2010 and worked at a gas station and then a grocery store before joining the Navy as an E1 (weren’t accepting anymore officers at the time) so he could pay his student loans. BTW I was a Communications Electronics Officer in the Air Force for 13 years.
I have learned that in this economy there are those that are not struggling and have no idea what life is like for the rest. I have a friend who makes $90 and year and cannot understand how people can survive on less than $80,000 a year.
Glad someone’s son started out at $50,000 a year. Not too many jobs like that around here.
