I have been surprised how good John Oliver is doing substituting on The Daily Show. I don’t like the skits that turn into yelling, though. The Zimmerman trial has taken over msnbc and the local cable news channel. I predicted 31 weeks, hope I am wrong there.
It’s interesting that the stories Steward and Colbert do, are much more accurate than anything on Fox News, and their comedy is intentional. While Shepherd Smith tries on occasion to stay closer to the actual facts, he’s the only one on Fox that even makes an effort.
So, dtroutma, you think Shep writes his own stuff? He is a face that reads a teleprompter, just like Stewart and Colbert. The editors control what’s in the news you hear, not the faces.
And if you think the leftist views of Stewart is news, you’re really in lala land.

Actually, recently polling put CNN in second place in estimated audience for the first time in a while.

that is why many of us don’t watch news, and use the internet. plus, many of us get our news from the daily show, colbert, and espn’s sportscenter.
