While you were out, some gymnast took your hangers and did a floor routine.
You know if you put two in closet, close the door and come back in a week they will multiply. The trick is getting the right sexes together. Hard to tell on hangers. I would recommend finding a professional hanger sexer.

Don’t let too many things frustrate me, but tangled coat hangers….. I try to be so careful but they are possessed.
If you bend their little heads sideways and back once, it neuters them!
