Speaking a common language is the glue that holds our society together. I’ve lived in New Mexico, a multi-lingual state for 35 years and while I’m not fluent in Spanish or any of the Native American languages, my neighbors all speak English. The local politics are seemingly chaotic at times but that’s the nature of a free society.
