Just put the food out every office has the scavengers who the left over sandwiched, cookies, pizza, and Chinese food. We had one guy fired for taking a cart apart that was in the trash
When managing an office, I solved the problem by giving the thing to another department. We were in a transition period, so it went unnoticed.
before i retired, the fridge in our break room would get taken out in back of the building , emptied and hosed out once a year
