I taught my boys to cook and sew the basics (and wire a lamp, splice a cord etc) but as an active participant in Cub Scouts (with 3 sons) it was natural. Taught my daughter some too, but she was the youngest. My lover recently commented that his greatest accomplishment is raising his 2 lovely daughters (after he divorced the wife).
