Before any liberals out there bash Apple allow me to ask you personally one question. Last April 15 did you take even one penny deduction for interest you paid on your home, or a child deduction or a health expense deduction etc etc If you did then you did exactly what Apple did. They simply obeyed the tax law as written by Congress and signed by the President. They took legal deductions exactly the same as you. Why fault them for obeying the law? Even the liberal Senators had to admit they did nothing wrong.
The tax law was written by and for the corporations. Just because they did not legally wrong doesn’t mean that they are morally just.
I haven’t owned an Apple product for over 10 years and until they start acting socially responsible, I won’t. And as a senior on social security renting a home, I didn’t get any deductions.
As Apple pointed out, it is NOT what Apple did, but the fact that all actions were totally LEGAL that is nuts. We do need change to not only see that PROFITS are taxed more appropriately, but also that more jobs, AND CASH are retained here in the U.S. to support the nation, not just a few individuals “lifestyles”.

Hey, Liber1, did you just cut and paste this from your other post? Was inane there as well.
Did you drive to work on a paved road or are you retired and living on your benefits?
And despite the penchant for the right to try and legislate morality, yeah – doesn’t seem to apply here.
“Render unto Caesar…” – “GOOGLE” it.

Apple paid over $4 billion in 2012 taxes. GE paid none. Guess which company gave huge donations to all those Senators in the hearing?
