Which means retired people will no longer be able to afford to eat dog or cat food. i suppose that’s the joke.

Dry food only; no canned, no people food. Well, except for oatmeal cookie crumbs.

Luddie hopes he gets good food until they retire, or he may get no food…

Well, in the real world, cats only live 18-22 years at best, so if Arlo and Janice are in their forties, Luddie isn’t likely to be around when they retire I am sorry to say.

I don’t bother with fancy cat or dog food. Cheap dry cat food is actually what my cat prefers. She does not eat the fancy stuff

Christmas Eve my wife would make Clam Chowder and she started giving the almost empty cans to our cat. For the next umpteen years, the cat recognized that holiday and hung around the kitchen waiting for her holiday treat. Her regular food was Science Diet dry

My guys get a tablespoon or so as a dinner “treat.” Otherwise it’s dry all day long.

@Coraryan: “Fuel with ethanol in is does not give as good a gas mileage in your car.”Boy, the rants we could start about that damnable ETHANOL would put GuardSgt and Omnius to shame. I USED to get 27 mpg hwy on my 2005 car with 87 octane. After they forced 10% ethanol on us, mileage went down, price went up (as did everything connected to fuel) and the “government was only trying to help..” Bureaucrats make dam poor engineers.

Janis, You think that .75 cents for a can of cat food is EXPENSIVE?!?!? Try buying it at a regular grocery store or a pet food specialty store and you’ll end up paying $3.00 for a can about the size of a small can of tuna!!!!!

All cats need to eat are the RSPCA approved Science Diet cat crunchies. Fancy tins are for making owners feel good.

I go though per week one bag of 9 lives dry food 13.3 pounds at $9.50 a bag and 14 cans (2 per day) of 22 ounce each at $1 a can for a total per week of $23.50 (plus tax) per week. My cats eat better than I do.

75¢? Here in Seattle that is cheap. I have seen single serve cans go for two bucks.

“Fuel with ethanol in is does not give as good a gas mileage in your car.”

Our gas mileage dropped buy OVER 10% having ethenol mixed in makes us BURN MORE GASOLINE and WASTE fuel. which is why I always try to find pumps with real gas, but then we moved to a state that won’t let you sell real gas, you have to have the water in it…. we found that using a stablizer helps some, but we’re still not back to 90% of what we were. And don’t get me started on the states (Montana) that require 85%, which will void you car’s warrenty!!!
