In fairness, there are quite a few that are nonviolent. There are even a couple that are very popular with the teenage guys. But, of course, they want their first person shooters, too.
depending on how you interpret violence even pacman could be considered violent since it was either kill or be killed where pacman and the ghosts were concerned.
