It may be referring to this as well:

‘Crazy accident’: US boy, 5, accidentally shoots sister dead

Yeah, I work with a few Second Amendment nuts that wouldn’t even let their 5 year old shoot a BB gun unattended.

@Dumba— ConservativesMaybe you might want to do some research before calling the cartoonist an idiot. This has to do with a website that sells guns for kids. As the story states, “They’re marketing to parents who would buy guns for children.” Rogers is not advocating selling guns to kids.

My grandfather taught me to shoot with a 22 cal pistol when I was six. It looked like a cap gun. He kept it at the head of his bed and I could see it every time I walked into the room. I NEVER touched it without his permission. He taught me to shoot with other guns as I got older, but I never touched a single one of his twelve weapons without his permission or supervision, even tho all were where I could have taken one.Parents are the first line of defense. The line failed. Now this boy has this on his shoulders for the rest of his life and the parents are going to be going through legalities for years.I wonder if they blame the boy, or themselves?Sadly,C.

When my kids were little, at the height of the anti (Vietnam) war protests, they weren’t even allowed to play with toy guns. ….say, this might be an answer to the school shootings! Send every kid to school with his own gun!

Guns like cigarettes serve 1 purpose, to kill. I can understand someone having a hunting rifle or a handgun for personal protection if the individual feels threatened. But why must people have 20-30 or more firearms ? No 1 is advocating banning the 2nd Amendment but marketing guns to kids is unconscionable. There needs to be some common sense & require background checks to weed out criminal & mentally ill people. Of course there’s always going to be a black market for guns but we still need to have safeguards in place to keep guns away from minors as well.

I’m going into the Kevlar-for-kids business. I’m sure it’s going to be a growth industry.

And remember, folks: there’s only two types of people: those who want any weapon at any time, and those who want to confiscate all guns. Nothing in between. Do not forget.

Interesting the way some people shoot the messenger because they don’t like the message. See yourselves in the mirror yet?

Exactly right. The earlier children are brainwashed into thinking guns are a toy the bigger NRA grows. And the more America suffers. We are disgraced by their actions. As a nation, we are humiliated.
