If Jeff is wealthy enough to own a helicopter, It sounds like it’s time to hit your brother in law up for some help with the bills; especially the mortgage or some other cash shortages! Family usually understands these kind of situations and are generous enough to give something!
I actually feel sorry for her sister. She has all of these material possessions yet feels that she needs to flaunt them to her sister for some sort of self-gratification. An empty life filled with things instead of the love from friends and family is a very sad thing. Jane is far richer than her sister. She has two daughters of which one actually shows some love and respect. The other I believe loves her mother, but is too much of a self-centered teenager to show it.
As long as the title of the strip is “Jane Tinker Can’t Win” “Boomerangs”, that’s never gonna happen, especially since the strip has now entered a time loop.
