Those who can do, those who can’t manage (I managed to get paid quite well for 30yrs as a manager).

Be fair to people on your way up. You might encounter them again on your way down.

I’m reminded of my favorite “office cartoon.” Pictured is a manager type in a paroxysm of despair, his tie askew, teeth fiercely gritted, tearing out his hair. The caption is, “S—-! You did it just like I told you to!”

i used to work with a group in both the 500 and 1000 mile clubs. it’s tougher to dodge the knives when thrown from those distances.

has nothing to do with management, the throwing of knives. lol. just management usually deserves those knives.

“Why is it that management likes the ones who are psychopaths or act like them?”Management thinks that the ones who don’t mind trampling on toes are the ones who get things done.

I bet they are dull and rusty knives. Clean and sharp ones don’t hurt enough.

Middle management loves to pat each other on the back. That way you can be sure the knife is deep enough. You know you’ve made upper management when they offer you to TWIST IT.I remember a cartoon from a long time ago.Man sitting on table. “Doc” he says “my back hurts.”Doc turns him seeing knives in his back. “You work in middle management Ehhhh?” “Yeah how did you know??”

Because absolutely no effort is being made to screen them out. There is a lot of sociopathy at the top; the control comes from the top, so you’d have to have some kind of regulation to screen all applicants above level X for narcissm and sociopathy.

Good luck with establishing that one.

“@NumberSix and @ CountAnton, if you think England is bad, then come to the USA. It is a brutal cynical dog eat dog survival of the fittest war zone.”

    Depressing but probably accurate.
