I think I might be confused. There were FOUR deaths from pressure cooker bombs?.Did Anderson throw in the death of the policeman, who was killed by gunfire?.Or did I miss something? (If so, I apologize.)
Yep, four dead, versus 30,000 plus every year, obviously we need to step up restrictions on pressure cookers. Of course “shock and awe” killed at least 100,000 civilians, but that was to get Saddam (who had nothing to do with 9/11 whatsoever) so that was okay, and “keeping the peace”.
The Police One survey is about as trustworthy as the ones on any website that uses ‘self selection’ as the recipient criteria. Gun rights advocates actively steered people to the survey. Only 16% of the respondents felt that gun violence was a significant problem in their jurisdictions. In other words, this survey is BS.
The guys saying that rifles are really not the main driver of gun violence have a point. Handguns are used in the vast majority of crimes. That’s why the universal background check is a must.Keep pushing for unlimited gun rights & you’re going to start convincing a lot of people that the only thing to do is repeal the 2nd Amendment.
Well, these two fellows also shot and killed an armed policeman. The U.S. police chiefs blasted the Senate for their gun vote.-—————————-I did mention in my previous post that a policeman was killed by gunshot. That doesn’t make him a victim of the “Pressure Cooker Bomb,” does it? Thus, the cartoon is misleading..With regard to the link you posted, I looked at the letter from the “U.S. police chiefs” you mentioned, and the first thing I did was to examine the list of cities represented by the “Major Cities Chiefs Association” who sent the letter (listed on the left of the letterhead); imagine my surprise to find:1) Calgary, Alberta2) Montreal, Quebec3) Ottawa, Ontario4) Toronto, Ontario5) Vancouver, British Columbia6) Winnepeg, Manitoba. The next thing I did was ask myself: “What business do the Canadians have interfering with U.S. Politics of this nature?”.In my mind, it is a misrepresentation to parade this letter as being from “U.S. police chiefs.” That’s just me.
Wrong again, police chiefs Do Not want more gun control…-—————Thanks for the link. That is one poll out of many that provide the same conclusion. I noticed that the survey polled almost 16,000 law enforcement professionals. That is a significant number.

You are correct, only 3 died from the Pressure Cooker Bomb….-——————-.I wonder why he didn’t make it five since one of the suspects also was killed.

Science fiction strikes again. The liberal’s can’t use facts to support their agenda, so they resort to distorted or misleading statistics.
