I keep hearing the “Sound of Music” song “How do you Solve a Problem Like Maria” in my head. Otherwise I like it, kinda like a female Calvin.

I can’t go one day without reading this strip. She just cracks me up.

I love Maria’s Day! I may not comment every day, but it’s on my “must read” list. Maria is funny yet not offensively obnoxious. I think her parents and her teacher (and sometimes her friends) keep her somewhat humble, which is great because I hate child characters that are over-the-top and get away with being brats. I also appreciate the rest of the characters… a great mixed group! Keep it up, guys!

Mini-Rita? Hilarious – the modern equivalent of Charlie Brown. I’d say its a hit. Goofy plots – fresh every day, clean slapstick. I can see several kids I grew up with in the characters. Charles Schultz once said he wanted to “draw a gentle parallel to life that was ‘non-threatening’; in which everyone could see and laugh at themselves.” Maria’s Day does that for me. So does Working Daze. So keep them coming.

Not bad so far on Maria’s Day. Three Adult characters so far. Good job. Sorry Maria never found out Ms. Payne’s first name is. In the future I also want to know what Maria’ last name and her parents’s first names are.

This is one of my favorite strips along with WD. I usually don’t post a comment because by the time I read it (8pm west coast) everyone has already posted long ago. I am not at work today, so I decided to post a comment.

We appreciate all the comments! Cartooning used to be a lonelier business, because it took longer to get feedback. I just now sent another week of finished strips off to go comics. Hope you like ’em!

Bah! YouTube’s a poor replacement for pure imagination.

And anyway, if it weren’t for imagination, there wouldn’t even BE a YouTube…or much of an Internet, for that matter.
