It does reflect that little " je ne sais pas quoi " in Neal’s personality.

Actually, I bet it’s got a lot more personality than Neal, if you were to ask Alison……NEAL! GIVE HER A FOOT RUM!

Bev…. do you often suggest things to yourself?

And perhaps more significant…. do you sometimes politely decline?

Maybe Alison read it in one of those big glossy decorating magazines like she’s now perusing….

“Nothing says ‘Love’ like a footstool shaped like your beloved’s head.”

She was a little miffed that Neal couldn’t understand.

She offers false reassurances just to placate him…but he senses the truth.

    Oh…. didn’t get a chance to answer StelBel yesterday….

Those little bitty houses are gorgeous, Stel. But completely out of the price range for tiny monkey bartenders.

They ARE professionals…. as they keep telling me…but they all share one job (with special permission from the Sheriff’s department.)

I hired 10 of them…. I think … but for any given shift there are four, or seven…. with such similar faces and such long complicated monkey names, I’m not sure who is who…or whether we’re seeing the same ten every week, or there are actually 37.

They live in the trees and they do quite well…they have a cozy place…or several…and if it’s really cold they sleep in the Tiki.

    Happy little fellows.

That last line reminds me…I keep meaning to ask ….Happy

Your avatar makes me wonder whether you’ve ever heard of Blue Bunny ice cream.

We seldom get it here…. more of a midwestern thing…but it’s good stuff, for low-price commercial ice cream…

And a dozen years ago, or so, they had a website offering free e-mail addresses…No idea why… and it’s now defunct.

But I took one just cos it sounded so cool…for about a year I had, as an alternate address, Susan@BlueBunny.com.

Neal’s also a dead ringer for Bert from Sesame Street. I wonder if Ballard Street and Sesame Street are in the same neighborhood?

Linquist,I posted over on NonSequitor after reading about your experience in Soccer. I think you will enjoy the story. I too played that sport. Lettered in high school, walk on the University of Maryland Soccer team and was preparing to play for them. Military Draft settled that issue. I was a goaltender but could play other positions. Not tall but knew how to play the angles and quick enough to steal that ball if you led it too much when dribbling in. And cross overs, corner kicks you better forget it. Those were mine. I considered the ball mine and I was always going to get it.I just did not stand there and let you kick it at my net.I learned to play “English style” while living overseas which was aggressive in nature. It was always attack.Played one time in the fog. It was so thick all you hear was a “thump” and out of the fog here came the ball. I caught it and kicked it back before the first player came out of the fog. I just looked at him and shrugged my shoulders. Back he went.

Happy, Red….we usually only get Blue Bunny as novelties… and only in discount stores, gas stations, carts… places that source products outside grocery distribution channels.

A long-gone gas station about a mile from me used to sell a Blue Bunny ice cream bar called a Mud Pie…so good….still looking for themsigh,,,,,

It was even before that when I accidentally found their website, and thought I’d like BlueBunny.com on my e-mail…hardly anybody had it, cos they let me have just “Susan” as my user name.LOL

@beviekHer. I do miss HER. :)+++++++++++++++Bev My Stormy was a SHE. She was always sensitive about being told she was HANDSOME.Mua, being a HE, never liked being told that he was PRETTY! I suppose that Lassie had the same problem. Why don’t they just wear pink or blue like babies do?Not that wearing those colours guarantees anything, lol!

Maybe that’s how he lost his hair. Hey, bald eagles aren’t REALLY bald – it’s just the white feathers make ’em look that way.
