We didn’t have to worry about any such irony at my first job. No diet anything on the menu. I worked at the Frozen Custard – established in the 1930s, I worked there in the 60s, still looks much the same:
Thanks to the magic of health insurance, we’ll all be paying for his indulgences. But that’s the American way. The people would work, save and do the right thing end up paying for those who don’t. But I’d still rather live an the US than anywhere else!
