Pretty hard to confuse an Amanita with a truffle.
Maybe he just didn’t like his owner.
My neighbor’s dog rooted out and killed a gopher yesterday. Now that’s a useful dog.
I think pigs are better at finding the fungal truffles, while dogs are better at finding the chocolate kind. At least, my dog is.
How did the chocolate kind get to be known as truffles, anyway? Is there any sort of resemblance in taste, texture, or appearance?
