The GOP plan that the Post Office totally fund workers, not even hired yet, pensions, 75 years in the future so it could be bankrupted and privatized, is working…

90% of the “mis-management” in the Postal Service has been MANDATES from Congress, mostly from “the right”, period. Ben Franklin originated most of the really good ideas that built and sustained the United States for over 200 years, but those ideas are considered by today’s “conservatives” as “communistic” and deplorable. Fire departments, police, with volunteers and professionals in both, “post roads”, libraries, public schools supported by the wealthy who could help their poorer fellows, yep, just all terrible ideas!! Ben was obviously a Marxist ahead of the times!

what hancel said is correct. the republicans insist on running the post office at a loss so:1. they can use it as an example of government unable to do anything right (except make war)go after the union pensions as the solution.of course raising postage a penny or two would solve all the post office problems and give ‘we the people’ a dirt cheap alternative to fed-exing or ups’ing.the postal service is a traditional and necessary government funciton. only under the radical republicans we have now, would it be considered marxist and communist. In fact the post office runs so effeciently and inexpensively that fed-ex and ups use the postal service for their “last mile” of delivery, because it’s cheaper than doing it themselves. another example of we the taxpayers funding private businesses.
