It’s been a month or so since Tarzan killed anything, ‘course the last bloodbath; three men and two camels, has been enough to keep him off the boil. But he’ll need to “get some” soon.
Has anyone commented on the fact that everyone in this strip addresses the person spoken to by name every time he or she speaks? That doesn’t happen in real conversation. It shows up especially in the last panel. Maybe the writer needs to do that so we’ll know who is talking to whom, but it’s obvious in the last panel.
There’s another strip that’s even worse about names. I can understand addressing someone as Dr Jones or Professor Smith, but during a story arc concerning legal issues, they were addressing people as Attorney Meyer or Attorney Mack. I have NEVER heard ANYONE talk like that in real life. Ridiculous. They may as well say Mechanic Joe or Computer Programmer John.
