Yes, go north with them, Tarzan, and when you get to the casbah, ask them to loan you a Land Rover, fifty gallons of gas, and ten gallons of water. No camels, no camel meat, no dates.

I’m browsing and collecting these golden strips for a while, and it’s strange to me that most of the comments are like monochrome this, land rover that etc etc….these old strips are from era when it’s writing and drawing style was the best at that very moment….for today’s can’t compare with anything….all in all, making fun with such a man like Tarzan, a-a.no way!

Say what, saywhat? Now, Tarzan’s declaration in the first panel…I can only attribute that to the fact that English is not his first language and he has learned it from reading Victorian era romance novels.

Is anyone taking bets on whether Tarzan ends up killing the camel like he did poor Omtag? I want a piece of that action!

So three on on camel? Tarzan only has to go the nearest bank and announce he is John Clayton, richest ex-pat Brit in Africa and he’ll be home in no time. Finding Governor Bisby at the breakfast table will be another matter.

And-“We’re off on the road to Morocco”—What fun those Films were, all shot in the studio(no on location Trips out of town) so Bob and Bing could be off on the golf course in not time at all.

Three on a Camel, makes me think of that old song from the 1930s, “Three on a match—- and so unlucky for me”. Check it out on youtube—under Warren William.

Deserts get quite cold at night, almost as cold as they get hot during the day.
