Good morning, Vagabonds: I left a description of the ffrustrsing experience I had with Delta at JFK Airport when I arrived back in the US yesterday at yesterday’s “Benitin y Eneas” for those who only read it early.

On the 11 hour flight I saw 3 movies: “The Jade…Club”(?) , but it was hard rd to keep track of the characters when you’re watching the movie through earphiphones.

Another movie was about a young English boy in a NE English coal mining toen, who has dreams of becoming a ballet dancer – I can’t remember the name of the movie (maybe Billie …?)and I was too tired to put on earphones.

Right now I can’t remember the 3rd movie – I’m still recovering from jetlag.

Morning, Village.I had the same experience coming back from Germany. I just couldn’t get interested in the movies. It’s like your brain goes into neutral or something.

Good Morning Slim, Ayre & david (and all arriving later today). Wecome back to Florida Ayre; I don’t have a clue about the first movie you mention, but the second one sounds like “Billy Elliot.”

Movie Quiz – name the actor:His middle initial is “F.” He won a best-actor Oscar in a film nominated for best picture. In other films he was a pirate and a Mexican revolutionary. His co-star in the best-Oscar film was one of our B y E Movie Quiz actors a while back. And there is a BIG CLUE in a recent B y E strip!

@FLORCHI, you’re right, it was “Billie Elliott.” The first one was about 4 Chinese women and their travails.

The movie I saw about the 4 Chinese women is called “The Joy Luck Club.” The 3rd movie I saw in the plane was “300.” It was bloody; I don’t know if the producers stuck to historicaln accuracy, but I always thought the 300 Spartans fought the Persians in a pass, not an open area.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Welcome home, Arye. I’m glad you had such a great trip and at the same time, sorry you had such a frustrating experience at JFK. I know you have difficulty walking so much, it must have been torture. By the way, when do you go back to New York?

Sorry, Florchi. Your clues are a little to obscure for my brain this morning. The only person I can think of is Anthony Quinn, but it is probably not him.

We had our annual yard clean up yesterday, including a lot of tree trimming. It looks great now and the trees don’t interfere with the people walking on the sidewalk anymore. They will come back in about three weeks to spray for weeds again and we’ll be set for the rest of the year.

A couple of days ago, two teenaged girls were walking on the sidewalk on the East side of my house and spotted Blaze sitting on top of a bookcase looking out the window. (He’s the cat in my Avatar.) I could hear them talking and one of them said “I’ve never seen that before.” and both took photos of him. He, of course, just sat there staring at them, looking regal and cat-like.

Another beautiful day in paradise. High 70’s to low 80’s, windows all open wide and fresh air! Light winds so the smog stays away – my flag is flying high and proud.
