I had to work a little bit for the comedy today, but that makes it all the sweeter.

If Luddy’s optimum diet would consist of only that which he can forage for and catch….I guess it would be kibble.

Cats are quite good at catching small birds and mammals. I saw our barn cat eating a barn swallow, and I found another chipmunk head in the barn isle recently. I took pity and killed the eviscerated baby rabbit the cat was playing with as well.

Never ignore a cat who comes into the house with a muffled meow (he’s got something in his mouth).

Reminds me of Muffin, the Pickles cat, wondering what a Purina in the wild looks like. (4/29/2010) http://www.cartoonistgroup.com/store/add.php?iid=46121

My brother’s cats hang out with the squirrels, no chasing.

House cats are wonderful warm companions but ourside unsupervised they are natural killng machines that are decimating wild bird populations- love ’em but keep ’em indoors where they are safe and safe from hurting our equally precious wildlife.

…don’t forget the squirrels and rabbits – they also can be considered pests…

We had a cat that loved to spend time outdoors but got into a fight with a feral cat and contracted a form of feline AIDs.><>me

This only happens if you let them outside. Cats live much longer when kept indoors.

Cats are cute but the neighbors, less so in your flowers. Sprinkle ground up dry, red chili pods around the flower beds. Cats and dogs will sniff, grimace and move on. It doesn’t hurt the critters. Any blender will do the grinding.

Decimating? Killing one tenth? (Decimate is from decimal, which means a tenth.) I can hear my English teacher so clearly.

There’s no real science backing up that cats are decimating the bird population. That’s just something the HSUS came up with to bring in laws against cats. .Amazing what they can do with a half-truth and a multimillion dollar propaganda machine.

My bay window has killed more birds than all my cats.

Actually, this is a very serious problem. “Free-roaming” cats are driving domestic songbirds to extinction in many areas. Responsible owners, keep your kitties indoors. If you must let them outdoors, equip them with a collar, tag, and a bell. http://tinyurl.com/adhczar
