Joan: It's wonderful you and Mom are taking the kids...Wally and I haven't been away by ourselves in ages!
Val: Think you'll miss them?
CRASH! WAAAAA
It wasn't ME!!
Joan: Not immediately.
Max: !!*
Doesn’t Evie HAVE to come back? They can’t really expect Val to take a week of vacation to babysit. There is no way I would leave Holly and the nephew (went blank on his name for a moment) in charge while Val’s at work. Plus Evie agreed to help out, and I don’t see her welching—she’s just not the type. Maybe Arnold will come help her babysit!

She’s ready for a much needed vacation. Now if her reinforcements get back in time to help with the babysitting…

Will Evie REALLY come back to help? Or has she escaped while the getting is good?

I’m guessing that Val will start out babysitting by herself, and just when things get out of control is when Evie will come home to save the day!

moms feel guilty if they say they won’t miss the kids.

I used to travel for work more when the kids were younger. I would tell my wife, “I love our kids, I can’t wait to miss them.”
She was not amused.
