EU’s opinion of Hezbollah as seen thru’ Israeli eyes? Bollocks. Hezbollah pretty much is what it says on its tin. No starry eyes are tainting opinions of it. Didn’t Bleibel concur with the UN special tribunal into Hariri’s assassination, blaming Hezbollah?

The EU as a whole is resisting US pressure to name Hezbollah as a terrorist organisation. It won’t, hence why I say it’s bollocks and don’t agree that EU sees it thru’ an Israeli prism. The UK might agree with the US but not Italy, France and Lebanon’s close EU neighbours, Cyprus & Malta. What may happen is that Al-Muqawama al-Islamiyya may get sanctions because of its links to the Bulgarian attack almost a year ago but no outright ban or new designation as “terrorist”. Why? Hezbolloh controls a majority of seats on the cabinet. My reference to Hezbollah’s “tin” is in its manifesto. It quite clearly states its aims. As for assassinations, the UN special tribunal lays blame at Hezbollah’s door as well as Syria’s, who sponsored Hezbollah. The spate of more assassinations of people related to the investigation and who were fingering Hezbollah, is also being attributed to Hezbollah.
