If the troops are for it AND women will be subject to any future draft, I’m actually fine with it. Also I don’t want any special(lower) standards for women (physical or others) that would put our troops in danger.
Hey, if there are women that really want to fight on the front lines, God bless them.
Funny you should say that…http://www.businessinsider.com/catholic-hospital-fetuses-arent-people-2013-1-Catholic hospital argues against a wrongful death lawsuit where a woman pregnant with twins died. Husband tried to sue. Hospital says fetuses aren’t legal humans.-They say fetuses deserve rights greater than mother until something like this happens…
ONe of my best friends, female, was killed in a “IED resistant” armored vehicle on her second Iraq deployment as a medic, all the others in the rig were infantry. Anyone who thinks our women haven’t been in combat units is an idiot. (They just haven’t been getting credit for it with regard to promotion ladders.)
Eryx: as a paramedic/firefighter, my daughter did that many times (the burning car or building bit). Also, I went into the Army at 117 pounds and came out at 135, many people underestimate peoples’ capabilities based on “size”. In the case of my daughter for example, her biking/skiing/running let to her being called “thunder thighs” even though she looks pretty skinny. Learning how to use your ENTIRE BODY strength for different jobs is a secret the “gotta’ have biceps crowd” doesn’t comprehend. Also, care to compare the average size of a Vietnamese or Japanese male to the “average size” of an American female, especially one who might be interested in entering “combat arms”?

Sounds like this is just being rammed in for political reasons by the o administration despite objections from most of our troops.
