I know reading his constant venom makes my stomach hurt.I usually like Mr. Roger’s work, but this cartoon depicts one percent of one percent of gun owners and is a very gratuitous offering to those who are already angry at what a lack of sensible gun regulation has been perceived to have done.In the past few months, I have held two newborns born into love and to parents well able and ready to receive them. It was an honor to do so.The man depicted in the picture is of the ilk who went to Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita Kansas, approached the usher, Dr. George Tillman, and at the door to the church, with mothers, children, and other congregation there to celebrate God, killed him.This is not Christian behavior. Believers are admonished that God will provide judgement, and all we are supposed to do is provide prayer. (Atheists, please just let your eyes glaze over and ignore this) We cannot easily resolve the painful issue of abortion with the state our nation is in at this time. It is an impossible issue. We can help reduce the number of children, pregnant mothers, and other humans killed by guns with some very easy, very sensible laws.I suggest we focus on those issues we can address before we force our will on behalf of issues we cannot.Respectfully,C.
Before Roe v. Wade, the number one killer of women was botched abortions done in back alleys. Now abortion is provided by qualified doctors, and it’s not in the top 100. Why go back? To make gun deaths look less serious?

I certainly don’t approve of her racism, but you conveniently left out the fact that she didn’t advocate abortions, and Planned Parenthood didn’t start providing them until well after she died.*Also keep in mind that she was born in 1880. Fetuses hell, arm SPERM!!! It’s in the constitution, or if not, the founding fathers assumed it. Let those little swimmers ATTACK that egg like REAL AMERICAN MEN. Guns blazing. If you can’t shoot at conception then you’re NOT REALLY AMERICAN – which is exactly what NRA stands for.
It IS amazing how many “pro-life” folks turn homicidal, with guns, bombs, and poison, to defend eggs (fertilized or not!). That so many of them also tend to be in the “gun nut” brigade makes the ’toon their mantra, not a mockery.
