I worked at a call center where they tried to do a Biggest Loser thing and I was team captain for one of the teams and I could never get my team to weigh in. Eventually we just dropped out of the challenge. I understand where both sides are coming from.
I can see how a workplace could encourage their employees to be healthy and have healthy options for snacking, but this is a bit much for me.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Kids are home today due to snow and they’ve announced tomorrow off also. Lil is better now, but has spent most of the day getting her strength back, so having the day off has been good. Parents are throwing fits over having these days off for an inch or two of snow, but it will be icy in the morning and the South is just not prepared for this. Thank you for the kind wishes for Lil yesterday, friends! You are the best!! :-)
I agree – way to personal. But then I don’t respond well to the implied threats about what will be noticed.
Glad Lil is feeling better Lightenup. We are experiencing a lot more school closures here too. We only have a couple of inches of snow but if there is even a threat of ice the buses won’t run and since the majority of students are bused they close the schools. Of course the teachers have to be there for the few students who will show up anyway – usually families that cannot arrange for someone to be home with the little ones.
I think a lot of businesses were bringing in weight watchers reps for a while during the years this comic was originally published…sometimes successful…but would never work with Cathy and her office mates.
