My boyfriend’s parents are divorced, so we have to go to 3 different places every Thanksgiving and Christmas. Usually we go to my parents house first, then his dad’s (where thankfully we don’t usually eat anything), and then dinner at his mom’s house. Need the day after off just to recover.
Not that I planned it, but I’m so happy that my husband’s family doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving, so we only have to deal with my family. And there were some years that I didn’t even want to deal with them, so we had a nice, quiet dinner with just us.
