Well, he’s being honest. I guess if watching TV is a big part of your life, then just embrace it, rather than trying to hide it and pretending that it’s not. But he did say that they need to build a giant wall unit to cover the TV, so I’m with Cathy on this… eye roll

My other half loves his big tv’s with surround sound and everything but he does like to go out and enjoy life, so he’s not completely ridiculous like Irving.

So, basically, it sounds to me like he wants bragging rights. Big TVs are often popular in that regard.
