Mom: All that matters is that you're together...sitting side by side in a golden horse-drawn carriage...that you enter the palace under a shower of rose petals...and that the grand ballrom is draped in silk, with 1,000 guests, a full orchestra and a throne! Dad: Mother's had too many years to think. Cathy: You told me not to rush into anything. Reception Planning for the "Older" Bride.

I don’t think she’s been thinking too much, she’s been drinking too much! A 1,000 guests?? I’m not even sure they can afford 20 with their budget and spending habits..Hello Cathy friends! I hope you had a great weekend!

That’s a wedding all the celebrities have, Mom, and look how long those marriages last!

Our daughter is getting married next summer. We had to put a limit on how many her future mother in law could invite. If she had her way there would be close to 1,000 just on his side. So we set a limit of no more than 50 for each side. I told her that she could fit the reception bill for everyone who she wanted to invite, needless to say that she agreed to the 50.

You’re right about that!
My parents married six weeks after they first met. They didn’t have any of the “arrangements” nonsense, but they did have forty-four happy, loving years together.

Dear Cathy,
I would have like to see your rendering of the carriage, ballroom, orchestra, and throne!

Is it just me, or does Cathy’s mom look a little dizzy/tipsy in that last panel?
HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
