Mom: Not thinking about it! Not thinking about it! Not thinking about it! Oops! Whatever you do, don't let me near the kitchen again. I can't control myself. It's bad enought on the weekdays, but Sundays are just impossible! No willpower whatsoever. I start and I can't stop. Pick it up and I can't put it down. I pretend I'm going in there for something else and before you know it... Oh, Dear. Here I go agaoin. Stop me! You're not stopping me!! Dad: Mother dives into her fifth helping of "Daughter-phone." Mom: Hi, Cathy. I know I shouldn't...but I had one more thought on that...

Well, my mother is gone, but she used to do that. Now my sister has picked it up where mom left off. With caller ID now, I have more control over the calls. If I’m in the middle of something (say….a dish of ice cream) I don’t answer.

I’m not much of a talker, but I did enjoy listening to my mom talk on and on. I’d call her up for one question, and 2 hours later, I still wasn’t able to get a word in. I miss that.Hello Cathy friends!

At least she’s still involved in Cathy’s life (though Cathy may have a different feeling when it’s to this degree …).
HI, MOM. Good Sunday Morning, “Cathy” Clan.

My Mom hated to talk on the phone, but on the night before she died (sudden heart attack, no warning), she insisted on talking to me — I’ve always appreciated that. :)

I have to admit, I envy women who have/had good relationships with their mothers… Cathy, you may not know it, but you are truly blessed… ;)
