Well done, Clay. The President’s proposals don’t include ANY actions for taking a law-abiding citizen’s guns. I would hope that the wing-nuts out there that own military-style weapons might voluntarily turn in their weapons because they’re nothing more than killing machines.

I do believe Clay needs to add a representation of the Liberal Elitist: they view ALL people that disagree with them as ‘mentally ill’. They are usually shouting you down when it is your turn to explain your position.

To Orthodox Catholic, I ask:*How many guns would Jesus own?*How many of them would be assault weapons?*How many bullets would his clips hold?

That would be the Orthodox Catholic church that doesn’t believe in the teachings of Christ.

This is my third posting of this msg under today’s toons.Having used Fox News as a reference recently, I feel less guilty than usual for suggesting readers go to Dailyshow.com and watch the first 15 minutes of Wednesday night’s show.Mr. Stewart’s comedy was forced as he presented a compelling story about the NRA and the ATF. I spent an hour after watching the show and was able to confirm most of it from objective sources. I am angry that I have to hear this information from a comedy show when its importance on the debate raging in Congress is so immediate.I have always tried to use objective sources when making my points and ask that you be patient with me this one time. I would not waste your time if I didn’t find this info so compelling.I will copy and paste this msg where the cartoon is appropriate. I’m going to play with my grand baby tomorrow and have to pack.Respectfully,C.

Paranoia is a mental illness that is used as an excuse for owning assault weapons. If you wanna play with military weapons join the military and play by their rules.

Thank you for your reply Gresch,Had I found one single easy to read site to confirm all of the information Mr. Stewart provided on his show, I would have cheerfully done so. As it was, it took me over an hour to confirm what he said in 15 minutes. When the news becomes a joke, perhaps we need a clown to interpret what is being said. Not my preference, and not the way Walter Cronkite or Murrow would have done it, but we live in shallower times.I respect your criticism of my choice, but still request you watch the show for 15 minutes then go to sources you trust to debate me on the points, not the messenger.Respectfully,C.

*the mentally ill are statistically less likely to harm anyone or engage in violent attacks than your average “sane” person…

Anyone can have a gun as long as they are “Non-Black”!
