At least the dog isn’t biting anyone.Since I KNOW liberals can NOT take ALL guns away from gun owners, I ask gun owners again.1 – What are YOU willing to let happen to help reduce the number of people one person can kill in an incident.2 – Who and how do you recommend we pay for it.(Gun haters, please do not respond to these questions unless you can do so objectively and respectfully, It doesn’t help the discussion to put people on the defense)I have seen good answers to these questions by gun owners, but then I see the messenger attacked, or past ‘failures’ dragged out as a reason to not do anything.Tigger likes to point out that alcohol kills too. But when deaths from driving and drinking were at a high point, legislators stiffened laws and since that time, there have been drastic reductions in dui deaths nation wide.I do not want guns banned. I do want guns, like drugs, alcohol, and automobiles better regulated, tracked, and controlled. I believe most of us who enjoy hunting and target shooting want common sense controls in place so people will quit accusing us of being part of the problem.It is, in my opinion, only the extremists who are preparing for the government to suddenly turn on us, that want the status quo. If you want cop killer bullets and a clip that allows you to kill 30 americans before reloading, you will find few allies among the majority of gun owners, and none among ‘liberals’.Respectfully,C.
I think it’s pretty safe to say that anyone who believes that angry old racist white guys with a gun fetish are somehow more reliable defenders of liberty than the current government is by definition dangerous and insane and should have their guns confiscated immediately.
NRA rank and file should recall their “leaders”. They need leaders who represent them, the membership.Until that happens, and it will not be immediate, restraint (control) is essential. Who will do it for us?
Hello Clark, you would like the concept of the health book, Forks Over Knives. It shows how a diet made of things that never had a mother or eyes can save a person from a surprising number of health problems. Rutabega, asparagus, bulgar wheat, and tofu have it’s place. But they really taste good next to a well cooked piece of meat.Pardon, I’m day 13 into being vegan to lose weight and get my cholesterol back below 150. I want a burger. However, (insert sigh here) Humane techniques when using animals as food, clothing, entertainment, or pets is imperative.As far as guns go, I’m 99% sure if you can’t vote them out of existence, you’ll just grit your teeth and settle for what you can get.I’m more concerned of groups like this…..http://www.iiicitadel.com/Liberals hammer spikes into trees to protect forests. Even the Dahli Lama has confessed his doctors told him to eat some meat, as his vegan diet was harming him. I shoot animals for food, don’t like to go for “trophies”, because you can’t eat antlers.
BTW Rottliv: in forests, far more “spikes” are left in trees by campers hanging lanterns and hammocks, and tent flies than have ever been left by “environmentalists”, btw, a lot of those campers ARE hunters!
If you want to be a Vegan, that’s fine by me, however I am an Omnivore, I eat meat, nuts, grains, and vegatables. I do not try to talk others in to my preferences and I prefer that others not try to lord their preferences over me. As for taking away all guns, I’m just glad that your not in charge, as I enjoy target shooting and practicing my skill on a variety of different guns and bows. (I’m not very good with a pistol, but then I don’t own one either)
Why would ANYBODY with even a small amount of reason, even want to be in power over the contentious bunch this nation has always been, and evidently will always be!

Yeah, and sometimes that even somewhat includes myself, but I do try to at least be civil, and if the occasion demands it, even kind.
