Both happen right and left since both are interested in growing the power of The State. They do it (in part) by dividing the public into further right and further left.

This is absolutely the best commentary on politicians I have seen in my life and I am 67 years old. Bravo, Ole, Hurrah, etc (in any other language).

The latter is more of a media problem. They are fully in bed with the current administration and accept its answers unquestioningly.
