    there was something good about having to talk on the phone in the kitchen so that you didn’t stay on too long and your mom knew who you were talking to. Kids now days don’t actually talk on their phones, they just text.

    Funny; I hadn’t thought about it, but it’s true—you just never see wall phones anymore. I bet they don’t even make ’em!

    Generally, the landline phones you can buy now have a way of mounting them on the wall, but they never look right to me.

    Yeah, a red ATT rotary wall phone mounted in the kitchen.

    I have a red wall phone in my basement. Also, in my garage is a black rotary desk phone that still works. Great modern convenience. Don’t have to carry them around.
