Eliminate corporate deductions, and 80% of others, and increase the max by 4% to a whole bloody 39%. It will take in a little more, and cause no damage to anyone making over $250 K per year.
Repeat after me – we do not have an income problem, we have a SPENDING problem. How can intelligent people not see that? Decrease all spending by 2% across the board every year for X years. No exceptions – everyone feels the pain. Raising taxes is a “feel good” tactic that has never worked in the history of taxation.
@Radish – that is a neat scenario, but it’s hard to believe that a group that could not beat O could be capable of such foresight and planning. Given the fact that Bush was labeled as stupid every single day, how could he be smart enough to pull that off? Yes, I know, he was just the puppet.

Nothing better for a struggling economy than higher taxes, at least that’s what we voted for.

And yet no one notices that Valerie Jarret is quite the puppet-master.
