Reminds me of a hot summer night in south Georgia about fifty years ago. We guys from the neighborhood had some rotton eggs and from a good hiding place, got some cars very dirty. The last car we threw at happened to be a police cruiser. Not only that, the car’s window was down and, well——-you get it. Knowing all the backyards we got about two blocks away. We went to the upstairs beroom of our friend, he had been with us, and his mother said, “Officer, they have been upstairs, all evening.”
Dad doesn’t know; he suspects. If he’s worth 2 cents he’ll take Harold’s purple crayon away and draw a butt kicking machine that’ll make Lio sorry he ever tricked the old man into an aid and abet situation.
After the water balloon incident my mom forced all the cousins into the station wagon and took them to jail. The cops, of course, didn’t want them. But neither they nor the cousins ever forgot who was tougher to cross.

There is something about the style of today’s strip that reminds me of Spy vs. Spy comic books. Surely someone must remember those!?
